    Problem:


    If I make parts invisible with the geometry editor and even delete them, they will be there again when the scene is reloaded.

    Solution:


    You need to save the part as a new asset in the library:

    File > Save As > Support Asset > Figure/Prop Asset(s)

    Then you have to change something with the given names, otherwise you will overwrite the original.

    Why can't this just reload the way I saved it?

    The geometry is loaded from the data folder. If you only want to delete part of one scene and not another, you would not be pleased if DS left out the deleted part in all other scenes as well. Therefore DS does not automatically write back the changes to the geometry.

    A workaround: create a selection set in the geometry editor. You can then switch this on and off in the geometry list with the eye symbol.
